5 Other Best Picture Winners Downgraded to PG-13

In an effort to capitalize on its recent Best Picture triumph at the Oscars, the makers behind "The King's Speech" are releasing a stripped-down, "family-friendly" version of the movie, rated PG-13.

Among the edit casualties: A string of obscenities rattled off by Colin Firth's stammering-conquering monarch that includes plentiful f-bombs and the memorable closer "and tits," in a scene that counts as, oh, just the film's single funniest.

It's a bold move, altering an award-winning film so that the 13-16 crowd can join in the fun (as if 13- and 16-year-olds who wanted to see the film in the first place were deterred by that R rating).

It's also a move we're glad hasn't happened very often in Hollywood before, especially with Best Picture winners. Because this folks, is what they might've looked like…
