Michael Vartan Gets Hitched After Meeting His Fiance In Whole Foods
Congratulations newlyweds Michael Vartan and Lauren Skaar!The happy couple — who met at a Whole Foods in L.A — tied the knot on Saturday after dating for two years. Vartan asked Skaar to marry him last year in March and revealed, “My family was thrilled. They love Lauren and could not be happier. Now all my mother talks about is grandchildren.”
Vartan’s Alias co-star Victor Garber was a groomsmen at the “evening spring” wedding. Since Vartan’s super hot anyway we can’t imagine how gorgeous he must have looked in a Giorgio Armani tux, which is what he wore to get married in. Skaar wore a Vera Wang dress with an Oscar de la Renta belt, and we kinda love the fact that the new couple apparently danced their first dance to Sigur Ros! Mazel Tov, you two.

A cut-glass accent and the ability to look good in a bonnet used to be a must for young British actresses looking to secure their careers. Nowadays, however, such skills are more of a hindrance. As the recent array of debut performances from tough-talking teenagers shows, directors and producers are increasingly looking for starlets who are more at home in a hoodie than a horse-drawn carriage.
One of the stars of last January's Sundance festival was 19-year-old Londoner Yasmin Paige, who plays an unconventional heroine in the dark comedy Submarine, director Richard Ayoade's film version of Joe Dunthorne's novel. Paige plays Jordana, a Welsh teenager with a penchant for setting fire to things.
