Oscars 2011: Helena Bonham Carter Confirms 'Dark Shadows' Interest
At long last, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's planned adaptation of "Dark Shadows" is finally taking shape.
Depp, who has long been attached to play centuries-old vampire Barnabas Collins, is starting to amass an impressive list of co-stars for his and Burton's remake of the 1960s gothic soap. Jackie Earle Haley and Eva Green are both on board, and just two weeks ago, we learned that Helena Bonham Carter and Michelle Pfieffer were circling the project as well.
Though her official participation in "Dark Shadows" isn't fully ironed out yet, Carter confirmed her interest to MTV News on the red carpet of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards last evening (February 27).
"I think I'm going to do it," she said, "and I think it's because, well, I've never played an alcoholic psychiatrist!"
Without some context, Carter's reasoning sounds a little weird. But if she joins "Dark Shadows," she'll play the hard-drinking shrink Dr.»

Taylor Momsen Whips Her Hair Back And Forth In An “I F— For Satan” Shirt
Our neighbors to the north in Canada are a nice people. They’ve never provoked us in any way. Which is why we feel it’s necessary to apologize to them for what Taylor Momsen inflicted on them this weekend during a performance with her band, The Pretty Reckless. Momsen, decked out in a shirt that read “I F— For Satan” and basically showed off all her goods during the set. And here we thought she’s behave on this, the holiest night of the year (Oscar night, of course). We thought wrong.
