Gyllenhaal Sets His Sights on a New 'Legacy'
Jake Gyllenhaal may have set his sights on a new legacy—as an action hero, that is.
The "Love and Other Drugs" star is currently topping the list of names who writer-director Tony Gilroy is considering for the "The Bourne Legacy," which will be the fourth installment of the mega-hit franchise.
This Bourne film will focus on the ramifications of the end of "Ultimatum," with a new character (yes, another assassin) leading the story. This twist will put a fresh face in the lead, while still allowing for the possibility that Matt Damon could return to the franchise.
Other actors on the short list include Tobey Maguire, Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch and Kellan Lutz—but rumblings about town indicate that Josh Hartnett, Paul Dano, Michael Fassbender and Alex Pettyfer are also possible candidates, Total Film reports.
