Bryan Cranston To Menace Mars (and Colin Farrell) in 'Total Recall'
After stalling out in pre-production for a year or so, the upcoming remake of "Total Recall" is finally heating up and making headlines again. Though the hunt is still on for which lady will be accompanying Colin Farrell to Mars, we now know who will be playing the big bad guy who chases them through the Red Planet. It's Bryan Cranston!
According to Variety, Cranston will be playing the main villain in "Total Recall." In the original, he was called Vilos Cohaagen, but we're not sure if he's keeping that moniker in Len Wiseman and Kurt Wimmer's version. But we suspect the essence of the character is the same.
Vilos was a dirty and corrupt administrator on Mars who hired the Quaid/Hauser to do his dirty work. Quaid turned on him and became a Mars freedom fighter ... or did he? With memory wipes and implants, you can never be too sure.»
