The Kills Play Live at IFC
The Kills' Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart brought their good looks and bluesy punk to the IFC Crossroads House at SXSW. The glamorous duo played a full set of favorite hits including "No Wow" as well as material from their new album "Blood Pressures". The Kills packed the house and the sold out show left many fans wanting more. Luckily we have their entire set right here. Please to enjoy:

Do You Believe in Magic?: 2011's Mix of Fairy Tale Adaptations
Over the course of the past month I’ve had the (arguable) pleasure of seeing three new films adapted from fairy tales. First was the new teen drama “Beastly,” which I reviewed here; it’s flawed at best, with few redeeming moments. I liked more of “Red Riding Hood,” and reviewing it got me thinking about what one needs to successfully adapt one of these classic stories to the screen in the 21st century, with or without an “update” in setting.
