'Hereafter' to Offer Relief to Victims of Japan Tsunami
Sometimes a disaster movie can do more than just provide a few hours of shocks and thrills.
Such is the case with the Clint Eastwood-directed "Hereafter." Warner Bros. has announced that the film, which was recently pulled from theaters in Japan because of its opening sequence featuring a devastating tsunami, will donate proceeds from its DVD and Blu-ray sales to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
"The devastation and loss Japan is facing is almost incomprehensible. I’m glad to join Warner Bros. in this effort to help the Japanese people," Eastwood said in a statement, according to the L.A. Times.
