'Hobo With A Shotgun' Contest Tasks Filmmakers With Creating Their Own Grindhouse Trailers
"Hobo with a Shotgun" is not for the weak of the stomach. It's filled with some of the most revoltingly creative death scenes ever laid to film where nothing is sacred and no one is safe, not even a bus full of smiling children.
But through all the guts and gore, director Jason Eisener delivers a blood-strewn enthusiasm that's only as disturbing as it is infectious. His feature film debut got its start as a short trailer shot for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse SXSW competition, a victory that launched the full-length "Hobo" into existence.
Now, history could very well repeat itself, as Eisener and the YerDead and Rhombus teams are giving aspiring filmmakers a chance to submit their own fake grindhouse trailers for an all-new competition. Read more about it after the jump!

Edgar Wright's Ant-Man Script Could be Finished Soon
Writer-director Edgar Wright admitted in January that he and Joe Cornish were finally going back to work on the script for Ant-Man now that his responsibilities with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World were finished. The Playlist caught up with Wright and Cornish at the South By Southwest Festival, with Cornish revealing the script is still being worked on.
