Exclusive: Summit in Final Talks to Purchase Top Cow’s Crosshair; Story by Marc Silvestri
Last summer at Comic-Con, Mandeville Films and Top Cow Productions closed a deal to produce a feature film adaptation of the Top Cow comic book Crosshair. According to the press release, “Crosshair follows a former CIA assassin turned suburban superdad who faces his most dangerous enemy ever – himself. Justin Weller learns that he has 48 hours until a suppressed program in his brain will turn him into an unstoppable killing machine aimed at the President of the United States. Weller races against the clock to uncover and reverse the source of his trigger.”Since that original press announcement, movement on the Crosshair film had been at a standstill. However, I've just heard that Summit Entertainment is now in final talks to acquire the film rights and a new writer named Morgan Foehl is going to handle scripting duties. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman (they produced The Fighter and The Muppets) will still be producing.»

Ashley Greene‘s beloved fox terrier Marlo was rushed to the hospital yesterday after being attacked by another dog. The actress is currently in Vancouver filming Breaking Dawn but we don’t know whether or not Marlo was hurt on set. All we know is that yesterday, Ashley tweeted, “Everyone please please please pray for marlo. A dog attacked her. she’s in the hospital”.
Luckily for Marlo, it didn’t turn out to be as bad as it sounds. A couple of hours later Ashley tweeted an update that read, “Marlo is now stable. No damaged organs. She just may need surgery for damaged muscle. You guys are so amazing for the thoughts and prayer”. Marlo had to stay overnight at the vet, it seems, because Ashley was up early this morning on Twitter and wrote, “I am So excited to come home and pick up Marlo from the dr tomorrow!»
