Five Minutes from 'Source Code' Plus Several New Pics

Michelle Monaghan and Jake Gyllenhaal in Source Code

Photo: Summit EntertainmentSource Code premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival this past Friday and the reaction seems to be positive. I missed an opportunity to see it a little over a week ago, but I will be checking it out this Wednesday night as director Duncan Jones (Moon) will be here in Seattle the following day for interviews. Exciting right? (Any questions you may want me to ask him, feel free to leave in the comments.)

Well, the film is currently set for an April 1 release and with the SXSW buzz Summit is hoping to take advantage and has just released the following first four-and-a-half minutes of the film as well as sent over 26 new images for you to gaze at.

Source Code stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a man working as part of a government experiment to go back»

Zac Efron Set for Untitled Romantic Actioner from Screenwriter Matt Drake

Zac Efron has been tapped to star in a new untitled romantic-action flick for Mandate Pictures. The screenplay for the film, which was previously titled The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, was written by Matt Drake (the upcoming Project X) and ended up on 2007’s Black List of the top unproduced screenplays. Fredrik Bond will make his feature film debut directing the project, having helmed numerous commercials for brands like Nike, Adidas, Guinness and Heineken. The story is as follows:The film will follow Efron, a suburban kid, who spontaneously travels to Eastern Europe to find himself.  Early on in his comedic journey, he falls for an alluring young woman and the only thing standing between them is her charismatic, dangerous ex from a criminal underworld.  Armed with little more than his wit and naive charm, Efron endures one bruising beat down after another in order to woo the girl he loves and achieve salvation.»
