Val Kilmer Goes Back to the West in ‘The First Ride of Wyatt Earp’
Val Kilmer has been part of the Wyatt Earp story once before, playing Doc Holliday in Tombstone. ("I'm your huckleberry" [1] should be a line etched into the brain of any western fan.)Now he's going back to the classic tale, and this time he's playing Wyatt Earp, in the indie western The First Ride of Wyatt Earp.The film was written by Darren Benjamin Shepherd, and will be directed by Mike Feifer. The story, says Variety [2], " finds an elderly Earp sitting down with a reporter to reflect on the ride that made him a legend, when the young marshal rounded up a posse to track down the outlaw who mistakenly murdered the woman he loved."So will Val Kilmer play both the older Earp and the younger? Large Batch of New Still Images from Kenneth Branagh's Thor Adaptation
More than two dozen new still images from director Kenneth Branagh's Thor, the big screen 3-D adaptation of Marvel Comics' classic character created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber, have appeared online. Though the quality of the images is not the greatest (hey, clean your scanner!), the batch does include several shots of individual characters not previously seen outside of the trailers like Joshua Dallas as Frandral the Dashing and Ray Stevenson as Volstagg the Valiant, two-thirds of Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) comrades-in-arms, The Warrior's Three (Tadanobu Asano as Hogun the Grim would be the third).
