Retro X-Men: First Class Magazine Covers, Plus an Awesome Fan-Made Title Sequence
Not only did director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men franchise prequel, X-Men: First Class, nab the cover story of this month's issue of Empire, but the British entertainment magazine gave comic book movie fans not one, not two, but three different covers featuring Marvel's Merry Mutants. Not one to be upstaged, Total Film, which also chose First Class as its cover story this month, released four covers for the movie. The standard edition cover is your typical "characters posing and looking tough" cover, but the other three are made to look like the covers of magazines published in the 1960s, the decade when First Class takes place.
Also of note, a talented X-Men fan who goes by the handle "Joe D!" made an awesome title sequence for the movie that combines images from the '60s with images of some of the actors in the movie and retro animation, all set»
