Ian McShane's beardy brigand is the last of the week's cornucopia of Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides character banners and seems a fittingly sinister note to wrap up on. Especially if you're planning to spend the weekend sailing around in a flaming galleon.According to our sources on Piratepedia, the real Blackbeard hailed from Bristol and had a CV as long as your arm. Most of his work came hijacking privateers around the Caribbean and the Atlantic coast of the American colonies, although he also cited 'pillaging' and 'plank-walking' among his interests.
