The Best Bit Of Deathly Hallows Part 2
First thing's first, one massive, humongous, siren-like spoiler warning: the quotes beneath this paragraph contain gratuitous and flagrant breaches of not-telling-anyone-the-plot etiquette and should be read by only those of you who have already read Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows in full. You see, thanks to our Harry Potter-filled new issue of Empire, out tomorrow, we've got some amazing quotes from Julie Walters and Helena Bonham Carter about that scene. Hollywood Fights Dirty in the Ongoing 'Snow White' Wars
If you've ever wondered what it's like working at a big movie studio, remember back to your elementary school days. Name calling, pranks, jealousy-fueled temper tantrums, bitter rivalries that ended with woodchips up your nose -- back in those days, you didn't brush off little tiffs. You got even.
Hollywood works the same way. One studio will put a "brilliant" (all relative) idea into motion and almost immediately, a handful of copycats from competing companies make their way into development, fists up and ready to fight to the finish line. "A Bug's Life" vs. "Antz;" "Volcano" vs. "Dante's Peak;" "Armageddon" vs. "Deep Impact;" One concept, a million twists and a confused movie-going audience forced to figure out why there are two animated feature films in theaters about talking bugs.
The next wave of awkwardly similar flicks comes in 2012, when Relativity Media and Universal Studios will fight to the death over rival "Snow White" movies.»
