Ben Affleck Out of The Great Gatsby, Isla Fisher In

Just when we thought Ben Affleck was going to return to acting by starring in director Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of The Great Gatsby, Affleck goes back to directing the upcoming political thriller, Argo.

Deadline reports that Luhrmann wanted Affleck for the role of Tom Buchanan, the husband of Daisy (Carey Mulligan was cast in the role last year), but Affleck's commitment to Argo wouldn't allow him to take part in the production, which will be shot in Australia. Affleck directed last year's highly lauded drama, The Town.

Is A 'Party Down' Movie in the Works?

Are everyone's favorite cater waiters coming to the silver screen? Maybe. In an interview with the Huffington Post, star Lizzie Caplan indicated that at least the cast of "Party Down" is very interested in the possibility of completing the story arcs left open at the end of the much loved show's final season.

After two seasons and twenty episodes, fans of the hilarious Hollywood-skewering comedy were outraged when "Party Down" was cancelled. The show followed the staff of a catering company as they worked the parties of the Hollywood elite and grappled with their dreams in a reality filled with crudite. The show was hilarious yet thoughtful and the cancellation of the critically acclaimed show was a surprise. Based on the interview with Caplan, it sounds like the cast was unhappy with the cancellation, too, and not just because it put the show's stars out of work. Rather Caplan claims she really loved the show.»
