Tahar Rahim & Niel Arestrup To Reunite For Joachim Lafosse's 'Aimer А Perdre La Raison'
Looks like a reunion of talent from Jacques Audiard's excellent 2009 film "A Prophet" is in the works with Joachim Lafosse's next directorial effort, the family drama "Aimer а perdre la raison"--which roughly translates to "Loving Without Reason." With star Tahar Rahim and scribe Thomas Bidegain already on board, their 'Prophet' colleague Niels Arestrup (pictured above next to Rahim) has seemingly replaced Gerard Depardieu in the cast for the story of a doctor who raises his friend's brother in Belgium and the drama that develops when the boy grows up and raises his own family. Ex-Universal Co-Chief David Linde Closes Deal for Reliance-Backed Company with Global Output Pacts
David Linde has finally closed his long-in-the-works film production and finance company backed by India's Reliance Entertainment, which also backs DreamWorks. Linde has lined up an all-important first-look distribution deal with his former studio, Universal, plus key foreign output deals. The new company has not yet cleared a name--Linde has been calling it Lava Bear Films. Ex-caa agent and Mrc Film Group president Tory Metzger will be his production head, with ex-Universal digital strategist Adam Rymer as chief operating officer, overseeing financial operations and day-to-day business affairs. Linde plans to both produce and finance projects with a recognizable brand identity for the worldwide marketplace.
