First Image of Brad Pitt in Andrew Dominik's Cogan's Trade
A few "spy" pics of superstar Brad Pitt in costume on the set of director Andrew Dominik's latest movie, Cogan's Trade, leaked out just as the movie went into production in early March. Now, just as its been announced that the production has wrapped, the first official image of Pitt has been released.
Dominik, who directed Pitt in the critically acclaimed, but financially unsuccessful, 2007 Western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, also wrote the screenplay for Cogan's Trade. The movie is based on the 1974 book of the same name by the late author George V. Higgins and centers around a mob enforcer (Pitt) who is tasked with investigating the robbery of a high-stakes poker game. Latest casting news delivered by our office messenger pigeons (cheaper than Fed-Ex) is Brendan Fraser’s confirmation as the lead in Arclight’s forthcoming 3D film William Tell: The Legend 3D (it’s got three dimensions, y’know). If you’re not sure who that is, just think back to any scene in any film where you’ve seen one character balance an apple on another’s head and shoot it off with an arrow. That’s based on the true story of Billy Tell, a Swiss folk hero who amongst other adventures was forced to shoot an arrow off his son’s head by a local tyrant. After succeeding, he told the aforementioned tyrant that if his son had died he would have used to second arrow to take revenge. Bad. Ass.
