Larry David Will Play A Nun, Mother Mengele, In The Three Stooges
We knew he wouldn't be playing one of the Stooges, but I don't think anyone quite expected the way Peter and Bobby Farrelly would squeeze their old pal Larry David into The Three Stooges. It was reported last week that they were creating a part for the Curb Your Enthusiasm star, and now Deadline reveals that he'll be playing Mother Mengele. Yes, a nun.He'll be working in the Catholic orphanage, right alongside Mother Superior Jane Lynch, that takes in the Stooges as young orphans. It's probably no coincidence that his Mother Mengele shares a name with the infamous Nazi doctor who performed awful experiments on concentration camp victims, though I'm not sure if even the Farrellys would make that connection that explicit. 'Snow White and the Huntsman' May Recruit the God of Thunder
They might be centuries old, but no one said bringing a fairy tale to the big screen was easy.
Producers on "Snow White and the Huntsman" have been struggling to lock down a male lead for what seems like eons. The movie already has "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart locked as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil queen, but attempts to find the titular "Huntsman" have been all but fruitless. First it was Tom Hardy, then Viggo Mortensen, then Johnny Depp, then Hugh Jackman, then budding star Joel Edgerton was at the head of the pack. All great picks, all no-gos.
Now another rising star has joined the mix: Chris Hemsworth. The "Thor" star is being courted for the role, reports Variety, which would mark his first big picture in the wake of the Marvel franchise. The only thing standing in his way? Playing Thor.
