New Trailer for '50/50' Looks 100% Funny

What's funnier than cancer? How about cancer in a twenty-something eco-conscious young man?

That's the bet Seth Rogan and co. are placing with "50/50," which tells the story of Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who's your typical dude—until he finds out he has cancer, with a 50/50 chance of surviving.

("If you were a casino game, you'd have the best odds!" Adam's friend Kyle, played by Seth Rogan, supportively points out.)

Written by Will Reiser, the dramedy follows Adam on his journey as he passes through the various stages of coping: shock, denial, resistance and, finally, acceptance. Along the way he gains support—whether he wants it or not—from both his concerned mother (Anjelica Huston) and an easy-on-the-eyes therapist (Anna Kendrick).

While the trailer can seem heavy-handed at times, there's enough dude humor (like the head shaving scene) to keep it from falling over the sappy edge.

But don't take our word for it.»
