Amy Adams Joins Superman: Man Of Steel As Lois Lane
Here’s some great news. The wonderful actress Amy Adams has found herself the role of a lifetime as the iconic Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel. The news has been spreading around the net like the proverbial wildfire livening up a dull weekend but maybe was released because Snyder’s Sucker Punch is getting, er, sucker punched by the critics.
Is this a case of ‘quick… let’s talk about something!’?
Adams, a brilliant comedic and dramatic actress (yeah, I’m a big fan of this lady), joins the likes of Margot Kidder and Kate Bosworth as the intrepid reporter who captures Clark Kent/Kal-El’s heart. Henry Cavill, a relatively unknown British thesp, has already been announced as the man in the tight pants and cape. He’ll join Diane Lane as Kent’s hot mom and none other than Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent.»

Condition One Reinvents War Journalism In Libya
At the end of my profile of filmmaker Danfung Dennis in our 2010 “25 New Faces” feature, I touched on what was then his next project. After completing Hell and Back Again — winner of the World Cinema Jury Prize and World Cinema Cinematography Award at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival — Dennis embarked on Condition One, which he told me “will use a network of journalists, filmmakers and servicemen to send a stream of high-quality video to millions of mobile devices.”
Danfung’s new venture now has a website, a Facebook page and a proof-of-concept video that’s also 90 seconds of frontline reporting. Condition One’s reinvention of war journalism for the mobile age is provocative, mindblowing, awesome and even kind of scary in a Strange Days kind of way.
