Illustrations Inspired by Hanna

Focus Features has released some artwork inspired by Joe Wright’s latest film Hanna. The studio sought out artists who “could capture the spirit of the characters and bring them to life in their own mediums.” The resulting product is pretty damn cool. Hanna stars Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana.Hit the jump to check out the artwork. Farrelly brothers circling potential Moe for 'Three Stooges'

One actor up in consideration for the role of Moe in the The Three Stooges doesn’t have a household name, but it sure stands out on a marquee: Chris Diamantopoulos.

The 35-year-old actor, who played the president’s chief of staff on Season 8 of 24, has also appeared on The Starter Wife, Nip/Tuck and The Sopranos. He is no stranger to playing iconic figures, though the bowl-cutted Moe would be a change of pace for any actor. Diamantopoulous appeared as Frank Sinatra in the mini-series The Kennedys, and he played Robin Williams in a 2005 behind-the-scenes TV movie about Mork & Mindy.»

"Kung Fu Panda 2" Promotes Fireworks Not Bombs in a Sequel That's as Good as the Original

I find a lot of kids' movies set in the past to be oddly encouraging considering their historical contexts. For example, the villain in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" has that "Chinatown"-esque plot to shut down the trolley system and build freeways in Los Angeles. He is defeated in the film by the 'toon hero, yet even as a young moviegoer I knew the reality, and I left the theater feeling the bleak irony in the fact that eventually L.A. was indeed overrun by these apparently evil roadways. The Killing Star Joel Kinnaman Joins Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in Safe House

The new AMC series The Killing is host to fine some acting -- too fine to be confined to television.  Tonight, it was reported Mireille Enos is in talks to join Brad Pitt in World War Z; now Heat Vision adds that her Killing co-star Joel Kinnaman will star opposite Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Tim McGraw, Brendan Gleeson, Ruben Blades and the recently announced Vera Farmiga in Safe House.  The story follows "the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Reynolds) as he tries to transport a lethal prisoner (Washington) to a second destination before being taken out by violent forces that want them both dead."  Kinnaman will play a man who operates the safe house in what Heat Vision calls "a key role."The Swedish actor first gained international attention last year in Snabba Cash.  Safe House just so happens to be the Hollywood debut of director Daniel Espinosa.»

Tribeca 2011: "Angels Crest," Reviewed

For all the people crying onscreen in "Angels Crest," I never once felt the urge to cry myself. The problem, I think, is not with what's in the film but what's not in the film, and that's specificity: specificity of character and location. Watching this movie feels like watching some very talented actors putting on an acting workshop, "Advanced Grief in Small Town America." On a technical level, their work is superb. But it doesn't resonate on any deeper level.

Based on a novel by Leslie Schwartz, the film is an intense dirge about the residents of a town trying to get on with their lives after a terrible tragedy.
