Alec Baldwin Bows Back Into 'Rock of Ages'
Update: Nevermind! Alec Baldwin is back in business with Adam Shankman and crew and will be appearing in "Rock of Ages" after all, The Hollywood Reporter claims.

Is Alec Baldwin singing his swan song for "Rock of Ages" before the shooting even begins?
It sure sounds that way.
With the entire cast—which includes Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Russell Brand, among others—heading to Miami for a May 23rd table read of Adam Shankman's silver-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, Baldwin asked to be replaced "if at all possible," despite his previous commitment to the flick.
The reason cited: a newly discovered medical condition.
The "30 Rock" star is currently set to play the owner of the Sunset Boulevard Bourbon Room, Dennis Dupree—a role that features a big musical number, making it difficult to recast, Deadline reveals.

Comic book movie fans who long suspected that Rhys Ifans would be playing Dr. Curt Connors, aka the Lizard, in director Marc Webb's reimagining of the Spider-Man franchise, The Amazing Spider-Man, received confirmation of their beliefs when actor C. Thomas Howell, who plays a minor role in the movie, inadvertently "outed" Ifans as the Lizard in an interview. Despite this, the ever-skeptical fans who have been looking for hard evidence of the Lizard's appearance in the new movie have been frustrated time and again. Ifans did not appear in any of the "spy" pics or videos from the shoot in Los Angeles and when he was finally spotted on the New York City set he was covered from head to toe. Now, the proof that fans have been clamoring for has finally arrived thanks to a series of new candid shots of Ifans in costume captured by DailyMail.
