Michael Fassbender and Danny Boyle Fall Into 'Trances'
Michael Fassbender is a busy man. The chameleon-like star whose credits range from the edgy "Inglorious Basterds" to the romantic "Jane Eyre," may be on the brink of adding yet another genre to his resume—thriller.
Word on the street is that Fassbender is in talks to be the first actor to join Danny Boyle's "Trances," a remake of a 2003 British movie directed by Joe Ahearne.
The flick focuses on an assistant at an auction house who masterminds an art heist and teams up with a gang of thieves—only suffer a blow to the head and wake up with amnesia. (!) More troubling still, he is the only one who knows the painting's new location, and after his continued failure to remember, the gang begins to suspect some double-dealing… so they hire a female hypnotist to get inside his head, of course.
That's when things get sticky.
