Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid Heading to the Farm
From Hollywood to… the farm?
Zac Efron has been making the rounds at Cannes — this time with a new project alongside veteran star Dennis Quaid.
Efron and Quaid have officially signed on to join an as-of-now untitled Ramin Bahrani film that tells the story of a farmer whose manic quest for expansion alienates both his sons and his devoted wife.
Though the casting details remain unknown, our bets are on Efron as one of the disillusioned sons and Quaid as the ambitious farmer in question. The project is currently being shopped around Cannes, and Bahrani and team are aiming for a summer shoot, Variety reports.
If all goes well, this trio could be a cinematic dream team — Bahrani previously helmed award-winning films including "Man Push Cart," "Chop Shop" and "Goodbye Solo."
We don't know about you, but we're looking forward to seeing Efron working the fields in some dirty denim.»
